Do you remember when it snowed and sleeted in Texas? Stephanie and Josh will tell you they remember it vividly! It started the day of their wedding on February 13, 2021. That day brought temperatures in the 20’s and freezing rain. While they had a gorgeous wedding day, the weather didn’t allow us much time for portraits of the two of them in their stunning wedding attire. So, when we began planning this Hill Country fall wedding inspiration shoot, I knew exactly who I wanted to model!
Hill Country is known for it’s beautiful and rough landscapes and our team set out to create an event that honored the ruggedness but still felt elevated.
Using leather in various aspects of details and rich tones, the set balances nicely in the Hill Country environment. Not too feminine or polished, but still inviting and pulled together. The florals boasted organic shapes and colors that feel “Oh, so Texan”. Touch of Whimsy sourced tableware and glasses that embodied fall with their gorgeous amber tones.
One of my favorite aspects of this design was the invitation suite by Callirosa. Using leather as a band to hold the invitation suite together with a clean black wax seal, the invitations set the tone for the day so perfectly. I can only imagine how excited I’d be to attend a wedding after receiving an invite like that! Again, using colors such as black, a natural leather brown, and skipping the frills, it honored Hill Country perfectly.
Stephanie and Josh were incredible models and I was so happy that their original wedding attire fit into our design so well. Stephanie’s dress was a sleek shape, softened by intricate lace. Josh had a tailored classic black tuxedo with a bowtie and together, they looked phenomenal. Veil Artistry gave Stephanie a soft and natural makeup look, but her loose updo was the highlight. It matched the organic feel of the florals, and her dark hair seemed just effortlessly chic.
Cheers to the vendors that created this perfect Hill Country fall wedding editorial. As always, it was an honor to bring this vision to life with you all.
Stephanie and Josh, thank you for trusting me again to capture memories for you!
Enjoy this beautiful day and design-
