A downtown San Antonio engagement session is always a great idea! And when you have access to a beautiful urban oasis within walking distance to The Pearl? Even better! I loved that Monica and Rich chose to do their session so close to home. All sessions are special, but when a place has meaning to a couple, it makes it all the sweeter.
We met fairly early in the morning to avoid the busy times that happen every weekend downtown, and they even brought their sweet pup Sammy! He was so soft and I swear-even smiley! He was originally Monica’s dog, so he wore a bandana saying “I Loved Her First”-how cute is that?
Toasting to their love story, strolling the riverwalk and heading to The Pearl gave us a beautiful variety of places to photograph them in! If you can plan your session in a spot that offers multiple options, it’s definitely a bonus! From a casual sundress and button down, to a refined sport jacket and dress, their outfits were stunning.
One of the reasons I love engagement sessions is that it allows me to get to know couples so I can serve them even better on their wedding day, find out what things we have in common, and help them get comfortable in front of the camera! It was so fun to learn that Monica and Rich had the same first date spot as my husband and I in San Antonio! Down on Grayson anyone? It’s so yummy!
