San Antonio and Destination MakeUp and Hair Artist
As a photographer, one of the common concerns I hear from my clients is about their makeup. Is it enough? Not enough? Fear of professional makeup and “looking like a clown”. Today, I’d like to introduce you to a San Antonio makeup and hair artist, Monica and her company, Artistee Lane.
I don’t like to recommend artists that I haven’t personally worked with, so when Monica offered to take me through a makeup trial, I jumped at the chance! Having a local San Antonio makeup artist to refer clients to is important to me! I love that Monica and her team provide an overall natural look that enhances your beauty. They use products that require minimal layering and they understand what photographs well (so awesome)!

The processes that Monica and her team use to ensure cleanliness are top notch. Anything that can be transferred to a palate is and anything that cannot is thoroughly cleaned. Artistee Lane uses disposable sponges for all foundations so there is no sharing germs with others!
The studio is comfortable, clean and bright. You’ll be able to see how you’re progressing without weird lighting only to find you don’t like it later.
Her team is based in San Antonio but are happy to travel! That means, for my brides, if you have a destination wedding, you can still use Artistee Lane for your bridal portrait run through! It’s so frustrating using a brand new makeup artist the day of your wedding!
