I had the honor of capturing an Air Force retirement ceremony at Canyon Lake for Maj Panter and his amazing family recently. Military families hold a special place in my heart as we are one too and have so many dear friends that serve. There are trials in all families, but military families certainly face a unique set of challenges.
One of my favorite parts about being at Canyon Lake for this Air Force ceremony is that everyone was relaxed. The stories flowed, the tears fell and there were more hugs and laughs than I could count. What a testament to the type of family the Panter family is and what kind of leader Maj Panter has been.
The day of the retirement ceremony it decided to RAIN over the lake. And I mean pour. And then in Texas spring fashion, it stopped! But the entire pavilion was full of friends, family and colleagues who refused to let bad weather deter them from celebrating.
I wish I could tell you all the accomplishments that Maj Panter accrued during his time serving in the Air Force. Honestly, they were listed and I was impressed. But what is more impressive is the joy you’ll find when you meet him and Holly. The accomplishment is his 4 gorgeous daughters, smart, happy and kind. That is the goal friends. Whatever career path life takes you on, ending the day with your family thriving and joyful is the most amazing accomplishment.
Well done Jake and Holly! You made it!
