A Maroon and Mauve Winter Wedding Overlooking the Alamo
From the pearls around Tanya’s neck that belonged to Steve’s grandmother, to the ring he placed on her finger that started as a gift from Tanya’s son. Tanya and Steve’s wedding was so perfect and personal. Their Alamo, San Antonio winter wedding was lovely.
Their family was joyful, loving and a happy energy filled the beautiful space overlooking the Alamo.
It’s been one month of married bliss for these two! Read on to learn how they met and about the infamous ring!
“Oh my goodness how we met is very silly! We met online after our friends convinced us we needed to get out in the dating pool . We went on a date at a pub down the street from where I lived, I checked his ID because I’m super paranoid and was scared of online dating and he was cool about it! My best friend drove me and picked me up and gave me one hour in case the date was awful. She had to practically drag me away from him (via text from her car ) I had such a wonderful time with him. At the time I was in nursing school living at my grandmas house (she was very conservative). Steve would drive from Rockport to Corpus Christi every night just to sit and hang out with me on the patio furniture in the yard for a few hours while we drank coffee and talked. It was really cute! It was in Grandmas yard where PJ (my sweet son) later gave steve the famous ring!
This ring is an exact replica of one that Tanya’s son, PJ, gave Steve a couple years earlier. He had turned the lever on a toy machine (the ones where you put some quarters in and get a surprise!) and out came this little ring.
He gave it to Steve saying, when you marry my mom, you can give her this ring.
If that doesn’t pull at your heart strings, I mean!! So sweet!
I also caught some adorable moments of PJ writing a speech to give and looking adoringly at his mama.
