This might take the cake for the most fun shoot yet! When Karli (Morgan’s good friend) sent me a DM telling me about what was going to happen and that they’d like me to capture it all, I was super excited! Being in on a secret like this is FUN! And this beautiful summer night didn’t disappoint!

How We Met
From Morgan-
I was a sophomore in college at Texas A&M when I met Heath’s sister, Hagan. My boyfriend at the time introduced us (so odd looking back, haha). They were from the same home town. Hagan and I instantly clicked and became friends. One night we went out and she posted a picture of us on the gram. Heath cyber stalked me for the next 3 years… He was hot so I didn’t mind. Lol! So weird but, I always randomly thought about him. After I finally got out of that relationship, I texted Hagan that I was single with hopes that her brother was too. Next thing I knew, I was meeting up with Heath on 6th street in Austin, TX on a rooftop. Crazy to think that 3 years after that he was down on one knee on a rooftop!
How He Asked
Ok honestly, I knew it was going to happen that weekend. Heath can NOT keep a secret but, I honestly thought it was going to happen on Saturday (my birthday) vs. Friday. The entire day of the proposal was so much fun. Heath got us a hotel on the river walk and we just bar/restaurant hopped and rode around on scooters all day. Come to find out, he had to keep me busy because the hotel he proposed at only had one entrance and he didn’t want me to see the giant marquee letters coming in. When we finally came back to our hotel, I started getting ready. Heath said he was going to get a bucket of beer from downstairs. I didn’t think anything of it.
Next thing I know I hear a knock on the door, I though it was him so I was blaring “Boys in the Hood”. I’m so embarrassing. It was the hotel coordinator and she handed me a note Heath wrote and flowers “meet me on the rooftop”. The rest felt like a dream. Walking out of the elevator, seeing Heath, seeing the lights that spelled out “Marry me?”. I literally felt like I was dreaming. It was perfect.
